Phnom Penh: After attending the opening ceremony of the 9th National Technical and Vocational Education and Training Day 2026 at the Koh Pich Exhibition and Convention Center on the morning of June 15, 2026, Mr. Heng Sour, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on technical and vocational training and safe commuting for workers with Mr. HE Dong, CEO of Zo Motors Global.

The current memorandum of understanding aims to improve the safety of workers and employees in their daily commute, promote the use of safe vehicles for transporting workers, equipped with the SafeBox system, and provide a new alternative to the current means of transporting workers and employees. In addition, the cooperation also supports environmental goals through the use of electric vehicles and the development of green transportation, as well as promoting awareness and learning about policies, standards, and financial mechanisms to support a safe and sustainable worker transportation system.

With the signing of the MoU on the same day, the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training also collaborated with Zo Motors (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. Produced 8 mobile training classes for skills in air conditioning maintenance, electrical installation in buildings, plumbing installation in buildings, car maintenance and repair, air conditioning repair, digital skills, beverage business (coffee and juice), and beauty salon services.

On that occasion, the Minister stated that after the pilot implementation, the ministry and relevant institutions, as well as development partners, will consider promoting the production of this mobile skills training class to 40 vehicles by 2027 and 50 vehicles by 2028.
