Phnom Penh: 49 children studying at Prek Leap Community Kindergarten in Prek Leap Sangkat, Chroy Changvar District, Phnom Penh received a gift of Panda backpacks from the China Foundation for Rural Development through the China Foundation for Peace and Development, with the aim of encouraging children’s studies and contributing to the improvement of education at the grassroots level.

The gift-giving ceremony was held in the presence of Mr. Aok Bora, Deputy Secretary-General of the Senate Secretariat, Ms. Wang Yahui, representative of the Chinese side, with the participation of the Mayor of Prek Leap commune, as well as teachers, guardians of students and local residents.

Mr. Aok Bora expressed his appreciation to the China Foundation for Peace and Development and the Civil Society Alliance Forum for their continued attention to the education and welfare of children in Cambodia by providing necessary learning materials to students.
