Phnom Penh: The Civil Society Alliance Forum and the China Foundation for Peace and Development (CFPD) organized a discussion meeting to exchange views and hear reports on the interests of a Cambodian civil society delegation that recently concluded a 20-day study tour to the People’s Republic of China, focusing on understanding successful experiences in rural rehabilitation and development.
The meeting was held on the afternoon of July 3, 2026 at the headquarters of the Civil Society Alliance Forum, under the chairmanship of His Excellency Duong Virat, Vice President of the Civil Society Alliance Forum, and Ms. Wang Yahui, Director of the China Foundation for Peace and Development Office in Cambodia.
During this meeting Mr. Duong Virat shared his experiences and impressions from field studies in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Sichuan Province, witnessing firsthand the achievements of implementing rural revitalization strategies, promoting modern agriculture, developing rural industries, improving infrastructure, preserving the environment, and improving people’s livelihoods.
