The Minister stated that “In this context, the Ministry of Information has strived to reform and strengthen the quality of information and dissemination to ensure that real information is the power of correct decision-making through various mechanisms such as: organizing a national campaign to combat fake news, the first and second phases of the Say No to Fake News campaign, and the Greater Mekong Subregion-wide campaign to combat fake news under the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation, strengthening the implementation of laws, legal documents, and training human resources in the information sector.”
Mr. Neth Pheaktra emphasized that the participation of the Ministry of Information in the information sector is therefore an important contribution to promoting the information and audiovisual sector in Cambodia in accordance with a new, true, fast, and comprehensive approach with trust, reliability, and professionalism to connect with all circles, combat fake news that pollutes national society, and promote national achievements to the public both at home and abroad.
