Phnom Penh: On July 15, 2026, Cambodia is promoting the development and governance of humane artificial intelligence (AI), focusing on using this technology to drive innovation and economic transformation, while ensuring that this development is based on the principles of ethics, human dignity, and Cambodian cultural identity.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the seminar on “Humane and Civilized Artificial Intelligence for Cambodia,” Mr. Hem Vandy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, said that the development and governance of artificial intelligence must maintain a balance between promoting technological progress and protecting Cambodia’s people, society and cultural identity.
