Phnom Penh: Mr. Kun Nhim, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister and Director General of the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia, said that China continues to be Cambodia’s largest investor and important trading partner.

Speaking at the official launch of the “Cooperation Mechanism between Cambodian Customs and the China Business Association” on July 23, 2026, Mr. Kun Nhim emphasized that the establishment of this cooperation mechanism is a continuation of strengthening the partnership between the state and the private sector in line with the Royal Government’s policy to improve the investment climate and promote trade facilitation.

He said that in the first half of 2026, the total trade volume between the two countries increased by approximately 25.4%, equivalent to more than 11 billion US dollars. In this regard, the CAC always pays great attention to strengthening consultation and cooperation mechanisms with Chinese investors and businessmen to disseminate new regulations, listen to concerns, and jointly address challenges.
