Phnom Penh: Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha, Minister of the Ministry of Interior, said that police officers across the country who have the authority must receive complaints from citizens, even outside administrative hours.

On the occasion of closing the training course and presenting certificates to the winning police and prison students of the Cambodian Police Academy, Mr. Sar Sokha advised that when going out to perform various tasks, they must pay attention to serving citizens of all classes and classes without discrimination.

He said that providing public services to citizens must be ethical, gentle, friendly, and cheerful. If you use harsh words against them, it is really inappropriate and difficult to accept.

In addition, the Minister of the Interior emphasized that when citizens come to file a complaint, they must absolutely accept it, even after working hours, because because they have problems, they come to the police to help solve them.

Mr. Sar Sokha stated that “When it comes to receiving complaints, they need us, so they come to file a complaint. We don’t wait for tomorrow or after working hours, we accept them first. Tomorrow, we will take action. It is important to accept them because some police stations run after the clock until after working hours and do not accept them.”

Please note that in order to facilitate citizens, the Ministry of the Interior officially launched the online complaint submission system, known in English as the Complain Submission System (CSS), on February 19, 2026, to help expedite the resolution procedure and respond to citizens quickly, referring to the resolution of complaints and denunciations from citizens related to authorities and the activities of civil servants under the Ministry of the Interior. And to investigate, research, seek justice, and fairness for the parties involved.
