A lecture given by Professor Ricardo Hausmann, a professor at the Harvard Kennedy School and founder and director of Harvard’s Growth Lab, with the participation of the President of the World Bank in Cambodia, professors from universities, the Cambodian Development Research Institute, students, the public, and some research enthusiasts on August 4, 2026 at the Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center on the campus of the International Language Institute (IFL).
In this lecture, Professor Ricardo Hausmann emphasized what should be focused on so that Cambodia can have better prosperity, in which the professor showed the roots of the growth of Gross Domestic Product per Capita (GDP per Capita) in developed and developing countries, the elements of the production function that drives growth (Neoclassical Production Functions), the meaning of comparative advantage – David Ricardo’s theory, the division of knowledge and diversification of skills, products and competitive advantage According to economic ecology.
