Siem Reap: Mr. Hun Many, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Service of Cambodia, said that ACCSM has not only strengthened professional cooperation but also strengthened friendship, trust, solidarity and partnership, which are the heart of the entire ASEAN community.

Mr. Hun Many’s remarks were made on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the 23rd ASEAN Public Service Ministers’ Meeting (ACCSM) and the 8th ASEAN Plus Three (ACCSM+3) held at the Sokha Hotel in Siem Reap under the chairmanship of His Excellency Samdech Maha Prasad Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, on August 5, 2026.

The historic event was attended by ASEAN and Plus Three Public Service Ministers, Dr. Kao Kim Hoon, ASEAN Secretary-General, and distinguished national guests. and many international figures.

Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many highlighted the fruitful outcomes of the two-day high-level meeting, where all delegates jointly reviewed joint achievements and exchanged best practices and experiences to shape the future direction of the civil service sector.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the ACCSM mechanism has been actively contributing to building a resilient, innovative and modern ASEAN community with people at the core. By strengthening the capacity, professionalism and agility of civil servants, ASEAN can provide high-quality public services to its citizens.

Beyond the regional framework, Mr. Hun Many added that the ACCSM+3 cooperation has strengthened deeper strategic partnerships with the People’s Republic of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea. The exchange of experiences with these partner countries is an important driving force in promoting public service innovation to respond to the real needs of the people with high efficiency.
