Phnom Penh: On September 28, 2026, the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation and Informa Markets jointly organized the “Cambodia Food Packaging Forum and Technology Exhibition 2026”, bringing together manufacturers, technology suppliers and packaging experts to promote food processing, improve product quality and expand market access.
The event takes place at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Center from September 28 to 30, connecting policy and industry discussions with practical technologies and services. The Cambodia Packaging Forum 2026 (PackTalk Cambodia 2026) is organized under the theme “Packaging: The Final Step to Market Access”.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Hem Vandy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, emphasized the importance of strengthening packaging capacity as the food processing industry and domestic manufacturing are growing.
The Minister said, “Packaging is the next link in the production chain. “Developing this sector is important not only for improving individual products, but also for strengthening local supply chains and increasing added value for the Cambodian economy.”
A competitive packaging ecosystem requires stronger local suppliers, technical services, research and testing capabilities, and closer ties between packaging manufacturers and industries that use packaging.
The Packaging Forum will include discussions on product protection, packaging design, food safety, standards, packaging labeling, packaging sustainability, and consumer confidence. The program aims to connect Cambodian manufacturers and agro-processing enterprises with packaging suppliers, researchers, technical institutions, and potential business partners.
