Phnom Penh: Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister and Head of the Royal Government Spokesperson’s Unit, Mr. Pen Bona, on the afternoon of April 29, 2026, was invited to co-chair and be a speaker at an orientation seminar on “Information Efficiency and Public Opinion Management”.

The orientation workshop was held at the Ministry of Interior headquarters and was co-chaired by Lieutenant General Dy Vichea, Acting Commissioner-General of the National Police and Head of the Central Security Department, representing General Sar Thet, Commissioner-General of the National Police, as well as leaders and police officers of the National Police, totaling more than 150 people.

Lieutenant General Dy Vichea considered that the presence of the Minister Delegate accompanying the Prime Minister reflected a long-term, broad-based vision in sharing knowledge to enhance capacity and focus on the effectiveness of information work and public opinion management. The Lieutenant General said that this topic is an important key to opening the door to effective information work and public opinion management.

Please note that the orientation on “effective information and public opinion management” among information officers and spokespersons of ministries, institutions, and provincial capital administrations is an important mission of the Royal Government Spokesperson’s Unit. This orientation workshop was held with four main objectives: 1. To understand the work of spokespersons and information dissemination, 2. To share experiences of spokespersons and information dissemination, 3. To enhance the skills of spokespersons and information teams of ministries and institutions in a professional manner, and 4. Build a network between spokespersons and news teams.

For more than two years, the Royal Government Spokesperson Unit has organized and coordinated a total of 53 workshops, lectures, and training programs at both national and sub-national levels, with a total of 18,120 participants.
