UN coordinator looks forward to helping Cambodia achieve high incomes

Phnom Penh: The United Nations (UN) coordinator is looking to help Cambodia become a high-income country by 2030.

Mr. Chea Thirith, a spokesman for the Senate, said after a meeting between Samdech Techo Hun Sen, the acting head of state of Cambodia And Ms. Vladinga Andreeva, the newly appointed UN Resident Coordinator in Cambodia, said that she said that the UN and Cambodia have a long and strong relationship, both in the past and present.

The spokesperson said, “She confirmed to Samdech Techo that the UN will always stand by to assist Cambodia. Especially helping Cambodia become an upper-middle-income country by 2030.”
For this speech, Samdech Techo expressed great satisfaction.
At the same time, Samdech Techo and Ms. Vladingka Andreeva also discussed the future goal of Cambodia becoming a middle-income country by 2030 set by the United Nations.

Please note that the Royal Government of Cambodia, under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Sen, has committed not to abandon or change its long-term implementation direction, as the Royal Government of Cambodia still maintains its ambitious goal of becoming an upper-middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income country by 2050.
