Interior Minister warns officials directly involved in public service work to avoid corruption

Phnom Penh: Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha, Minister of the Ministry of Interior, has urged officials directly involved in public service work to adhere to professional ethics and absolutely avoid corruption.

Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha’s warning was made at the official announcement ceremony Information technology program for receiving applications and providing administrative services online at the single-entry unit of the capital and provincial administrations at the S-Building Conference Hall of the Ministry of Interior on April 30, 2026.

On that occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha urged officials directly involved in providing public services to citizens to adhere to the code of professional ethics and absolutely avoid corruption. And must continue to implement the approach of “looking in the mirror, bathing, brushing, treating and operating” on inactive officials.

The Deputy Prime Minister continued that the sub-national administration must manage and distribute revenue from service fees properly and transparently according to financial procedures to ensure the provision of public services that serve the true interests of the people.

On that occasion, the Minister of the Interior considered the IT program for receiving applications and providing administrative services online as another new achievement, following the new paradigm of digital government in the process of reforming public administration in accordance with the policies of the Royal Government under the leadership of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, especially the digital technology angle to achieve the full realization of the digital government system.
