Kampong Cham: Mr. Khlot Phon, Chairman of the Provincial Council, and Mr. Un Chanda, Governor of Kampong Cham Province, on May 1, 2026, the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day, May 1, invited 2,373 workers to meet with Sansu Garment Company in Khwet Thom Commune, Prey Chhor District, Kampong Cham Province.

During the meeting, Kampong Cham Governor Un Chanda said that because Cambodia has the right leadership that has brought peace and security to our society, investors have flocked to other provinces as well as Kampong Cham, providing job opportunities and income to our people’s families to improve their living standards.

Mr. Un Chanda also mentioned that when the Funan Canal project was built, most of the transportation was by water, so all agricultural goods, textile materials produced from the factory and transported to the Tonle Sap port were transported by the Funan Techo Canal to the second country waiting to receive the goods.

The provincial governor also stated that when the process of transporting goods out through the Funan Techo Canal is completed, Kampong Cham province may have many factories because the province is close to the port, which will give our citizens more job opportunities and many more benefits from this development.

The provincial governor also took the opportunity to express his appreciation to all the workers working at Sansu Garment Company who have worked harmoniously and in solidarity, respected labor laws, and cooperated well with the factory, making the work activities run smoothly as they do today.
