Phnom Penh: On May 13, 2026, the Phnom Penh Police Department revealed the identities of three Chinese suspects after committing six separate cases of car and license plate theft, including three cases of car theft and three cases of car license plate theft.

The arrest of the suspects has now been completed. The Criminal Police Force, following the direct orders of Lieutenant General Chuon Narin, Deputy Commissioner General and Commissioner of Phnom Penh Police, led by Brigadier General Bun Satya, Deputy Commissioner in charge of Criminal Police Work Plan, Major General Ly Bun Eng, Deputy Commissioner in charge of the Minor Crime Police Office, and Colonel Mam Savon, Head of the Minor Crime Police Office, led the investigation force to arrest the three suspects on May 10, 2026 at the Russian Federation Road, Sangkat Teuk Laak 1, Khan Toul Kork, Phnom Penh.

Please note that the confiscated items include: 1 car, PUIR, gold, license plate Phnom Penh 2BC-8508, year 2009 (as a means of committing the crime), tools and equipment used to commit the crime, and 10 license plates. Currently, the above suspect is being investigated according to the procedure.
