The head of the Kampong Cham Red Cross branch invites to express condolences and bring gifts to the family of a soldier in Kang Meas district.

Kampong Cham: Mr. Un Chanda, head of the provincial Red Cross branch, on May 13, 2026, led a team to offer condolences and bring humanitarian gifts to the families of the deceased frontline soldiers residing in Tuek Khe village, Prek Krabao commune, Kang Meas district.

According to Mr. Touch Chhai, Executive Director of the Kampong Cham Provincial Red Cross, the hero Sim Mengly, the leader of Group 3, Transport Platoon of the 2nd Intervention Division, had parents who were alive but elderly and were facing difficulties in life. Later, he died of illness and was sent by the division to his hometown to prepare for a traditional funeral.

However, during the visit, Mr. Un Chanda expressed his deep condolences to the family of the deceased and conveyed the deepest condolences and sympathy from Dr. Neth Savoeun, Honorary President of the branch, especially from Samdech Kittiprittbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross, who always considered the welfare of all citizens, especially victims of disasters and other crises, including the brave soldiers and refugees, without discrimination, and always sent his representatives to intervene, bring emergency aid or materials and supplies to the funeral or provide them to the families of the victims in a timely manner, in accordance with the slogan “The Cambodian Red Cross is everywhere for everyone and leaves no one behind”.

The humanitarian donations that the branch provided included:  50 kg of rice, 2 boxes of noodles, 20 cans of fish sauce, 2 cans of soy sauce, 2 boxes of V-Active luxury water  And a budget of 3,000,000 riels, including 2,000,000 riels from President Hun Manet and Dr. Pech Chanmony.
