Phnom Penh: Mr. Som Chamnan, Secretary of State, High Representative of Mr. Heng Sour, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, was invited to chair the seminar to promote Prakas No. 098/26 K.B./P.K.V.K. dated April 13, 2026, on the Arbitration Council, on May 13, 2026, via the Zoom virtual system, with representatives of workers’ professional organizations and representatives of employers’ professional organizations, a total of 224 people.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary of State emphasized the importance of the current dissemination workshop, which aims to 1- introduce the content of Prakas No. 098/26, which sets out the procedures for resolving collective and individual labor disputes by the Arbitration Council, and 2- strengthen the understanding and capacity of representatives of professional organizations of workers and employers about the procedures for resolving labor disputes.
In addition, the Secretary of State instructed representatives of professional organizations of workers and employers to continue to study and understand more clearly the updated procedures for resolving collective labor disputes and individual disputes in order to contribute to strengthening the consistent implementation of the law.
The Secretary of State also encouraged relevant parties to use the mechanisms provided in relevant laws and regulations to avoid abuse of legal procedures.
