Takeo: Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Special Committee to Promote the Preparation and Implementation of the Funan Techo Canal Project, reaffirmed the Royal Government of Cambodia’s commitment to pushing the project to its success according to the set plan.

Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol led an inter-ministerial delegation to inspect the progress of the construction of the Funan Techo Integrated Water Resources Management Project at the site in Trey Khlok Village, Dong Khlok Commune, Borey Jolsar District, Takeo Province on Saturday morning, May 16, 2026.
The mission on this occasion was conducted to inspect the progress of the construction work, which is taking steps in a positive direction and to ensure high work efficiency according to the planned plan and in accordance with the specified technical standards.

Through this inspection, the delegation highly appreciated the efforts of the technical team in all departments, who have been fulfilling their duties diligently and with a high sense of responsibility.

On behalf of the Royal Government of Cambodia, the Deputy Prime Minister and Permanent Deputy Chairman of the Special Committee reaffirmed the commitment of the Head of the Royal Government to push this project to achieve success according to the set plan in order to serve the national interest in promoting the economic sector by connecting water and sea transport to be more potential and highly competitive.
