NPIC Institute provides 3,000 scholarships to young people from poor and vulnerable families in 22 skills through the 1.5 million program

Phnom Penh: The National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia (NPIC) of the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training has awarded 3,000 scholarships to young people from poor and vulnerable families under the TVET 1.5M program of His Majesty the King.

According to the NPIC Institute, the institute has trained in 22 skills, including 1. Baking skills, 2. Home appliance service skills, 3. Beverage business skills, 4. Computer graphic design skills, 5. Car maintenance and repair skills, 6. Fruit and vegetable processing skills, 7. Building electrical installation skills, 8. Masonry skills, 9. Plumbing skills, 10. Tile work skills, 11. Electric motor control system installation skills, 12. Mobile phone maintenance and repair skills, 13. Escalator maintenance and repair skills, 14. Metalworking skills, 15. Electrical welding skills, 16. Automotive air conditioning maintenance and repair skills, 17. Automotive electrical maintenance and repair skills, 18. Computer service skills, 19. Computer network installation and maintenance skills, 20. Eyeglass and lens cutting skills, 21. Khmer cooking, and 22. Security camera installation and maintenance.

It should be noted that the vocational and technical skills training program for targeted youth from poor and vulnerable families across the country, totaling approximately 1.5 million, at the technical and vocational diploma level, was initiated by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen in 2023. And announced for implementation by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia on November 14, 2023.
