Kampot: Dr. Kao Thach, the Royal Government Delegate in Charge of the Rural and Agricultural Development Bank and President of the Techo Farmers Network Association, on the afternoon of May 26, 2026, met and greeted farmers in Chhouk District, Kampot Province, listening to their concerns and challenges in the agricultural sector in the context of rising prices of chemical fertilizers.

The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Chan Tha, Deputy Governor of Kampot Province, Mr. Sao Moeun, Governor of Chhouk District, commune chiefs, commune agricultural officials, and farmers, totaling 321 people.

Dr. Kao Thach said on the occasion that Today’s meeting is also a good opportunity for farmers to learn about the state bank, the Rural and Agricultural Development Bank, which is the government’s policy bank focused on the agricultural sector, and the Techo Farmers Network Association, because in the past, our farmers were not widely known. We ask our farmers to join us in using the services of the state bank because there are no risks like private institutions, because it is owned by the state and will not leave you alone.

In addition, Dr. Kao Thach Explained to the farmers that their farming is indeed, first, facing problems with capital to do or produce agriculture, second, producing but lacking a market to sell, and third, lacking cultivation and raising techniques that do not yield much. And another big challenge is that our farmers do not consider their production costs, producing but crying out that they will lose money forever.

As a solution to this problem and to address the concerns of the above farmers, Dr. Kao Thach He explained that “Farmers should also consider if they are committed to farming and should produce continuously so that they can ensure the sustainability of their markets. Otherwise, traders, manufacturers, and companies will definitely turn to other sources of supply that produce more stably.”

Finally, the delegate also called on farmers to join the Techo Farmers Network Association It is a bridge to find financial sources, obtain new techniques and information, transmit the voices and concerns of farmers to leaders, and serve as a bridge to other opportunities. Second, it is an umbrella or shield for farmers, that is, it helps protect the rights or legality of farmers or protects them from abuse and exploitation of farmers.
