Phnom Penh: Ms. Suos Sinun, Undersecretary of State, High Representative of Mr. Heng Sour, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, presided over the opening ceremony of the forum on “Recent Updates on the Process and Procedures for Resolving Labor Disputes at the Arbitration Council” on the morning of May 26, 2026, with the participation of approximately 65 representatives of the Foundation, the Arbitration Council, and representatives of enterprises and companies at the Himawari Hotel. The forum was organized by the Cambodian Federation of Employers and Business Associations (CAMFEBA) with the aim of updating the procedures for resolving labor disputes after the implementation of Proclamation No. 098 of the Cambodian Federation of Employers and Business Associations (CFEBA) on the Arbitration Council dated April 13, 2026.
Speaking at the forum, Ms. Suos Sinun, Undersecretary of State, highlighted that this declaration is the result of a tripartite consultation and has extensive input from all relevant parties, and has reached a consensus to issue and implement this declaration to improve and update the legal framework related to the resolution of out-of-court labor disputes, especially the resolution of individual disputes by the Arbitration Council.
Ms. Suos Sinun expressed her strong hope that this forum will provide knowledge regarding the main points of the Declaration on the Arbitration Council, Specially Protected Persons, and the Procedures for Resolving Labor Disputes by the Arbitration Council in order to contribute to the dissemination and strengthening of consistent law enforcement.
