Battambang: Mr. Sok Loo, Governor of Battambang Province, has continued to order border district authorities, forces and specialized officers to strengthen prevention of the import of Thai goods.
The order of the Governor of Battambang Province was made during a meeting On strengthening information coordination and resolving public opinion on social media within the jurisdiction of Battambang province. The meeting was held on May 27, 2026 at the Battambang Provincial Hall.
The provincial governor said, “Border district authorities, forces and specialized officers must strengthen the prevention of the import of Thai goods and suppress all types of illegal border crossing crimes.”
On that occasion, the provincial governor also reminded leaders, especially spokespersons of departments, units, municipal and district administrations, and force units, to monitor news and respond quickly to news by using real information and eliminating fake information.
He emphasized that fake news or socially harmful information without a clear source, such as some unreliable foreign sources with a political bias or information originating from some MMOs that use social media to create fake news to cause chaos for personal gain, is very dangerous to the national society and requires all relevant parties to prevent it as effectively as possible.
