Phnom Penh: The General Department of Prisons of the Ministry of Interior said that currently, 790 juvenile convicts are actively practicing in cultivating vegetables, raising animals, pouring trench covers and other concrete constructions to support the frontline forces standing guard to protect national sovereignty. Please be informed that following the high-level recommendations of the Head of the Royal Government of Cambodia and the leadership of the Ministry of Interior, the General Department of Prisons has arranged to transfer 790 male juvenile convicts from correctional centers and prisons in the capital and provinces to serve their sentences at two target correctional centers and prisons, including: Correctional Center 4 (Pursat Province) 651 and Oddar Meanchey Provincial Prison 139.

According to reports from Correctional Center 4 (Pursat Province) and Oddar Meanchey Provincial Prison, these juvenile convicts have actively implemented measures set by the Ministry of Interior to increase education and rehabilitation. By participating in vocational training programs to build personal skills for the cause of serving the nation and loving the motherland.

The above training program was implemented under close collaboration between agricultural experts and experts in the construction of trench covers.
