Phnom Penh: Acting Head of State Samdech Techo Hun Sen said that the location of the General Department of Taxation of the Ministry of Economy and Finance will be determined for the organization of an international meeting of the presidents of the Senate and the National Assembly, with approximately 40 countries invited to participate.
On the occasion of visiting and inspecting the headquarters of the General Department of Taxation on June 2, 2026, Samdech Techo said that the location of the new General Department of Taxation of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, located in Chroy Changvar Sangkat, Chroy Changvar District, Phnom Penh, will be decided as the location for organizing an international meeting of the Presidents of the Senate and the National Assembly, which Cambodia will host in August 2026.
Samdech Techo said that the decision to select this location was made after His Excellency Kong Vibol, General Department of Taxation, requested his opinion, so he decided to visit to inspect the location in the new General Department of Taxation.
Samdech Techo stated, “In my capacity as President of the Senate, who will then lead the meeting, I announce the decision to use this headquarters as the venue for this major international meeting.”
The reason Samdech Techo made this decision is because the building of the General Department of Taxation It is spacious, especially with many meeting rooms to welcome the President of the Senate and the President of the National Assembly from about 40 countries.
