On the occasion of the inauguration of a three-story building, including various achievements, and the ceremony to award basic teacher certificates and bachelor’s degrees in physical education to student teachers at the National Institute of Physical Education and Sports located on Street 598, Lu Village, Svay Pak Village, Russey Keo District, Phnom Penh, on June 3, 2026, the King stressed that the visit to the potential green tourist area, the market, was a practical inspection to give the Minister of Environment and the Minister of Tourism, along with the Governor of Kampong Speu Province, a good development of the market tourism community and a high score. .
The Prime Minister confirmed that after examining and directly verifying the results in the report with the results at the actual site, the work that the Prime Minister had the two ministers and the provincial governor jointly do had really good results.
The Prime Minister said, “What should I do? Follow up and inspect because it is my habit to set a plan for a detailed task that I pay attention to. I just go and see it, not listen to the report.”
As a reminder, last year, the Prime Minister visited and gave principles to the Minister of Environment and the Minister of Tourism, along with the Governor of Kampong Speu Province, to develop the tourism community behind the market to become a model community, to use local development to increase local income, and to attract tourists. In this regard, the Prime Minister ordered the withdrawal of private licenses, so that investments could be made in places that would not affect the community there and could help each other without replacing the community.
Through this inspection, the Prime Minister highly appreciated the work of the Minister of Environment and the Minister of Tourism, along with the Governor of Kampong Speu Province, who have developed the Khmer Psar tourism community well and achieved remarkable results.
Based on the actual inspection, Prime Minister Hun Manet is confident that the Khmer Psar community will be successful and continue to be sustainable.
