Foreign Affairs: US President Donald Trump has admitted calling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a “crazy man” in a phone call filled with profanity over fighting in Lebanon as the United States tries to negotiate an end to hostilities with Iran.

In an interview aired on Wednesday, Trump was asked if he had called the longtime Israeli leader “crazy” and accused him of being ungrateful, citing a report by Axios.

I did call him that, Trump told the podcast “Pod Force One.” “I’m not saying I’m angry,” Trump said. “I’m a little annoyed by his constant bickering with Lebanon, you know.”

However, Trump went on to say that he and Netanyahu get along very well.

According to an Axios report citing an unidentified US official, Trump told Netanyahu in a phone conversation on Monday, “You’re crazy.

You’d be in jail if it weren’t for me. I’m saving you. Everyone hates you right now. “Everyone hates Israel because of this.”
