22 unexploded ordnance found in rice fields

Battambang: 22 unexploded ordnance was found by residents while digging rice fields at 7:30 a.m. on June 3, 2026, at Damnak Sala village, Takry commune, Kamrieng district, Battambang province.

Authorities confirmed that After receiving a report from a resident named Lon Mengchou, a 29-year-old male, living in Damnak Sala village, Takry commune, Kamrieng district, that he found many unexploded ordnance shells while clearing rice fields at the above location, local authorities immediately went to inspect and reported to the CMAC unit’s experts for further inspection.

After the experts from the CMAC unit went down to inspect the material, they found that there were 12 60mm mortar shells and 10 82mm mortar shells. They then collected them and kept them in a safe place for incineration.
