RPL Assessment Center Battambang: RPL helps convert former workers’ work experience into an official certificate and a key to opening doors to better jobs, skills, and income.

Battambang: The Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) test is not only an important mechanism for recognizing a candidate’s existing knowledge, skills, and work experience into an official national certificate, but it is also the key to opening doors to better jobs, skills, and income. This was stated by Mr. Oukvong Dinika, representative of the RPL Competency Assessment Center, Battambang Institute of Technology (BIT) on June 5.

 
He stated: “RPL not only recognizes existing skills, but also helps transform the work experience of former workers “To be an official certificate that opens the door to better jobs, skills and income in the future.”
 

According to Mr. Oukvong Dinika, in the nearly two months of implementing the Recognition of Professional Experience (RPL) program, the RPL Center of the Battambang Institute of Technology (BIT) Conducted competency assessment tests for 185 former workers and citizens with existing skills, including 12 women, to obtain official skills recognition certificates in accordance with national standards.
 

The same source said that from April 8 to May 31, 2026, the center focused on skills testing in 8 construction sectors, especially for Cambodian workers who have returned from Thailand and have practical work experience.
 

To help candidates take the test, the center has prepared a comfortable test environment and provides many supports, such as providing travel expenses for candidates living 40 kilometers away and above, providing clean water There is a working group to help coordinate everything from information dissemination, registration to the testing process. This was added by Mr. Oukvong Dinika.
 
Please note that former Cambodian workers who have returned from Thailand, aged 16 years and above, and have practical work experience, can apply to participate in the test without discrimination based on gender or disability. Registration can be done through the field team, directly at the Competency Assessment Center, or by contacting 053 732 535 or the Hotline 1297 and the online system erpl.mlvt.gov.kh.
