Geneva: On June 9, 2026, Mr. Heng Sour, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, took the opportunity to meet and discuss with Dr. Tan See Leng, Minister of Labor of the Republic of Singapore, during the 114th International Labor Conference in Geneva, Switzerland, to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, especially in the construction, hospitality and services sectors.

During this important discussion, Mr. Heng Sour highly valued the partnership between Cambodia and Singapore, expressing interest in increasing cooperation on decent work, responsible business practices, and developing a skilled workforce. Meanwhile, he also highlighted cooperation on green skills and technical and vocational education and training (TVET), artificial intelligence (AI) knowledge and readiness for the digital economy, as well as lifelong learning under the Skills Future initiative and the Qualifications Recognition Framework.

On the occasion, Dr. Tan Sileng welcomed Cambodia’s interest in learning from Singapore’s experience on Skills Future, lifelong learning, digital skills and green skills. The Singaporean side expressed its openness to further discussing cooperation that could help Cambodia strengthen its workforce competitiveness.
