Takeo: On the occasion of meeting with senior leaders of the Ministry of Interior in charge of the Committee against Counterfeit Products on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, Mr. Wei Samnang, Governor of Takeo Province, made a commitment and took all measures to prevent counterfeit goods and products imported from neighboring countries into the Cambodian market.
The Governor of Takeo Province said that in the past, the provincial authorities have instructed the authorities of all 10 cities and districts, especially the authorities of the neighboring and bordering districts of Vietnam, to prevent the import of problematic durians from Vietnam into the Cambodian market, especially defective or counterfeit goods. Recently, the authorities of the bordering districts have also seized frozen meat twice, which was transported from China through Vietnam and brought to Cambodia, and burned.
The Governor of Takeo Province said that the Takeo Provincial Authorities consider health as a human asset.
He said, “Without health, it is difficult for people to practice various disciplines or do their work successfully. Therefore, the provincial authorities have taken all possible measures to prevent counterfeit or defective products, which pose a serious threat to the health of citizens.”
