Phnom Penh: Samdech Techo Hun Sen, the acting head of state of Cambodia, has ordered the gathering of truck drivers. The Prime Minister will personally question officials involved in the bribery of those involved in importing goods and frozen meat from Thailand into Cambodia.
During an inspection of a military clothing factory in Battambang province on the evening of June 11, 2026, Samdech Techo Hun Sen reiterated that he would find and open an investigation into all those involved in importing goods and frozen meat from Thailand into Cambodia.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also directed the Governor of Phnom Penh and the Commissioner-General of the National Police to open an investigation into those who imported Thai goods into Cambodia. The Prime Minister did not allow Thai goods to enter Cambodia.
Samdech Techo added that the strictest measures must be taken against anyone who brought illegal goods from Thailand, especially frozen meat.
Samdech Techo said, “Collect everyone, starting from the drivers, and leave some bosses for me to question in person, meet one by one. To be honest, what kind of money do you give them, how can you import goods into Cambodia?”
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also ordered an immediate stop, immediate withdrawal, and finding another job. Cambodia does not need goods from Thailand, the prince also stated, and customs must also be thoroughly inspected.
