The Minister of Interior visited to understand the daily life and work of officials in Chhouk Commune, Chhouk District

Kampot: After completing his mission in Kampot city and Kep province on June 15, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha, Minister of Interior, continued his visit to Chhouk commune, Chhouk district, Kampot province to visit and understand the daily working life of officers at the Chhouk administrative police station and the Chhouk commune school.

At the Chhouk Administrative Police Station, Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha received information about the local sources of drugs for sale and use in Chhouk commune, the need for residence cards, identity card services, the need for crime-fighting motorbikes, the accommodation of officers, as well as suggestions and views that officers want to participate in strengthening the work of the station.

The Deputy Prime Minister also congratulated the authorities and the entire community of Chhouk commune for recently receiving two national police officers, who are the descendants of Chhouk commune residents, to work at the commune police station. This is the fruit of the police station reform that the Royal Government under the leadership of President Hun Sen has been hoping for.

Leaving the police station, the Deputy Prime Minister continued to meet with the commune chief, council members, and the commune clerk of Chhouk. The Deputy Prime Minister gave encouragement to the actual scene at the commune school administration, where the outdoor courtyard and indoor work areas are beautiful and well-organized.

On that occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister also received some good news related to the daily work that the commune school serves the needs of the people. This also includes the potential and challenges in providing services through the commune single-entry mechanism. This information is an important input for national decision-making.
