Takeo: The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports on June 15, 2026 issued a press release on the implementation of measures for the incident of students fighting at Angkor Ka High School, Tram Kak District, Takeo Province.
The Ministry of Education stated that a group of students used violence against a female student at Angkor Ka High School, Tram Kak District, Takeo Province, which was caused by both parties in the form of a mutual fight, which was recognized by both parties as a joint mistake and a violation of the school’s internal regulations. The final solution was for all parties to sign a cease-fire agreement with the parents or guardians and apologize to each other at the school level.
To prevent violent and immoral acts committed by students inside and outside of school, as well as to prevent similar cases from occurring in other schools, the Ministry decided to: assign the principal to implement educational and labor reform measures by performing voluntary work in the school together or public service work in the school, such as cleaning the school grounds, organizing books in the library, watering flowers together for 1 month, and other work according to the actual situation and under the supervision of the teacher, with regular reports to the Ministry through the relevant department.
In the event that the behavior does not change or violent acts continue, the school will implement additional disciplinary measures such as temporarily suspending studies for 1 to 2 weeks or changing classes or transferring students to another school. .
The Ministry asks parents or guardians to increase monitoring and educating their children at home, in terms of behavior, friendships, and social media use, and to report to the school regularly.
The Ministry also instructed school principals and teachers to perform their roles and responsibilities with great care in monitoring, observing, and intervening in a timely manner for all abnormal activities of students. At the same time, schools must strengthen collaboration with families and communities, as well as territorial authorities at all levels, to promote more active participation in education, prevention, and suppression of all forms of violence inside and outside of school.
