Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Environment, in collaboration with the Kampong Speu branch of the Cambodian Red Cross, has organized a training course on “First Aid” for the committee and community members of the Klang Kan Cheong Nature Reserve in the Cardamom Range National Park to strengthen their capacity to respond to emergencies and increase safety for tourists visiting the green area “Phnom Klang Phsar”.

The training course was held at the Elephant Camp, Phnom Knang Phsar Green Tourism Area, in Taing Pampong Village, Ta Sal Commune, Oral District, Kampong Speu Province, under the chairmanship of Mr. Hav Piseth, Undersecretary of State, Ministry of Environment.

The program was coordinated by Mr. Chea Tith, Deputy Director of the Kampong Speu Provincial Department of Environment, together with experts from the Community Development Office, the Environmental Knowledge and Information Office, the Cardamom Mountains National Park Office, park rangers, local authorities, and many local community members.

Emergency Response Capacity Building Training Course Organized for the main purpose of responding to the rapid increase in tourist arrivals to Phnom Knang Phsar. The Ministry of Environment needs to train communities in first aid skills to prepare for any eventuality.

Please note that the green area of Phnom Knang Phsar, which is located in the Cardamom Range National Park, is currently a popular tourist destination due to its attractive natural potential, including its forests, mountains, and grasslands. and rich biodiversity.
