Preah Vihear City: According to the official statistical report on the current status of citizens and party members, which was recently approved and closed for evaluation as of June 16, 2026, the Palhal Sangkat Committee of Preah Vihear City has presented demographic data and the development of a clear organizational structure across its 10 villages.

Based on specific data signed, reviewed and decided by Mr. Chat Suon, Chairman of the Palhal Township Party Committee, and prepared by Mr. Chan Chan, the following main results were revealed:

1. Demographics and voting power (age 18 and above)
In Palhal district, there are a total of 3,569 houses, equivalent to 4,494 families, with a total of 14,378 people (7,117 women). Of these, the population aged 18 and above (with the right to vote) totals 9,332, of which 5,000 are women (equivalent to 53.5% of the total number of eligible voters). The village with the highest population density is Kok Bech village, with 3,764 residents, followed by Hmaengk village (2,077) and Chamkar Sov village (1,958).

2. The growth and momentum of the grassroots party structure
The update report also highlights the strength of the party membership, with the commune currently having 2,511 “party families” and a total of 435 “party groups”, which are divided and managed strictly under 10 village party branches.
The total number of party members across Palhal commune is 4,396, of which 2,375 are women. This figure reflects that female party members account for up to 54% of the total strength, which is a positive sign in promoting the role of women in local politics.

3. The leadership of the village committee
In addition to the village-level management, the collective leadership of the Palhal Township Party Committee consists of a total of 23 people (7 women), including 7 members of the Township Party Standing Committee (2 women), who are directly responsible for strategic work, local development, and preparations for national events.
