Phnom Penh: A gang of young people who attacked and threw Ao Ta 07 cars, causing damage, on the night of April 16, the third day of the Khmer New Year celebration, in the vicinity of Wat Phnom, were arrested by the authorities in total 11 people and sent to court for legal proceedings.

After this incident, from April 17 to 20, 2026, the Minor Crimes Police Office, in collaboration with the Daun Penh and Russey Keo Police Inspectorates, conducted a series of investigations and arrested a total of 11 suspects involved in the crime of intentionally causing serious damage (hitting and smashing a car) committed at the Mayura Massage Shop, Street 47, Village 15, Sangkat Sra Chak, Daun Penh District, at approximately 7:37 p.m. on April 16, 2026.

11 gang members were arrested: 1- Man Longthada, male, Cambodian, student, 2- Sok Chea, male, Cambodian, gym equipment installer, 3- Chhon Rayut, male, Cambodian, student, 4- Ek Sok Mean, male, Cambodian, food delivery driver for WONNOW, 5- Ny Saki, also known as Twin, male, Cambodian, salesperson, 6- Ny Vovy, male, Cambodian, salesperson, 7- Moeun Pisey, male, Cambodian, factory worker, 8- Nha Chaly, male, Cambodian, snail oil worker, 9- Soryavisoth, male Khmer, 10- Phim Visal, male, Khmer, and 11- Hosan Serphimey, male, Khmer.

The evidence seized was 4 stones and 1 car license plate. The suspect is currently being referred to the court for legal action by the police.
