Svay Rieng: On April 29, 2026, Dr. Kao Thach, member of the Central Committee and member of the Central Party Youth Committee, and Mr. Peng Porsa, Governor of the Svay Rieng Provincial Government, member of the Central Committee and deputy chairman of the Provincial Party Committee, were invited to deliver a speech on opportunities and investment directions for the future at the Vaikou Hotel in Svay Rieng Province.

The program was organized by the Party’s youth center in the Young Entrepreneurs section, with the participation of Oknha Sok Rado, President of the Svay Rieng Provincial Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Hien Sopolin, Acting Director of the Department of Operation and Management of Special Economic Zones, and Oknha Pech Bolen, President of the Cambodian Young Entrepreneurs Association, with participants from the Young Entrepreneurs’ Plan of the Svay Rieng Provincial Party Youth, students, and students, totaling approximately 150 people.

On that occasion, Mr. Peng Porsa, Governor of Svay Rieng Provincial Government and Vice Chairman of the Svay Rieng Provincial Party Committee, considered that our entrepreneurs play an important role in investing in the district and region, contributing to job creation, income generation, occupation and building resilience, especially in Svay Rieng Province, a province that was once a battlefield but has now become an investment and industrial zone.

The provincial governor added that on behalf of the governor of Svay Rieng Provincial Government, today’s workshop will provide an important additional input to help develop the businesses of our young entrepreneurs to grow.

After a presentation on investment opportunities in Cambodia and trends in foreign direct investment (FDI) as well as the investment geography in Svay Rieng Province by Mr. Hien Sopolin, Dr. Kao Thach said that today’s program is not only a forum for discussion on entrepreneurship, but also a large-scale open discussion on various topics such as agriculture, additional financing to provide opportunities for young entrepreneurs to review and decide on investments for the future, aiming to contribute greatly to the building and development of the national society.

Finally, Dr. Ban shared with young entrepreneurs in Svay Rieng Province that investing in the future is an investment that has two benefits: (1) financial benefits (2) social benefits. For example, investing in human capital, investing in infrastructure and digital technology, investing in agricultural innovation, investing in environmental sustainability and investing in institutional capacity, investing in renewable energy that does not emit carbon dioxide will leave a legacy or good reputation for future generations.
In addition, Dr. Kao Thach also gave a memorable message: “Entrepreneurs not only build businesses, but also participate in building our nation.”
