Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Interior of Cambodia has signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Phnom Penh with Nanning University of Technology, China, on artificial intelligence and drones.
On April 29, 2026, Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wenbin posted on Facebook, “Warm congratulations to the Cambodian Ministry of Interior for signing a strategic cooperation agreement in Phnom Penh with Nanning University of Technology, China, in the fields of artificial intelligence and drones.”
The ambassador added that the Chinese side will continue to support Cambodia’s digital transformation.
It is recalled that on April 27, 2026, Touch Visalsok, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Interior, authorized representatives from Nanning University of Technology, People’s Republic of China Meeting and discussion. The meeting aims to establish cooperation between the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia and Nanning University of Vocational and Technical Sciences in AI and drone training, as well as joint talent development and promotion of exchanges and cooperation between the Ministry of Interior and Nanning City, Guangxi Province, People’s Republic of China in the field of education, as well as exploring the potential for cooperation in other fields.
