Phnom Penh Military Police sends 5 suspects, men and women, to court in connection with a prostitution case!

At 1:00 AM on May 1, 2026, the Anti-Human Trafficking Bureau of the Phnom Penh Military Police, in collaboration with the local forces of the Sen Sok District Military Police, launched an operation to crack down on a restaurant and karaoke location, the brand “Maha Meek”, located along Road 1011, Pong Pay Village, Phnom Penh Thmey Sangkat, Sen Sok District, Phnom Penh, related to a case of conspiracy to commit prostitution (facilitating prostitution and extracting financial benefits from prostitution), arresting a total of 55 people (39 women, 16 men), seizing evidence and some condoms, and sending them to the Phnom Penh Military Police Headquarters for legal action.

Under the expert measures of the Phnom Penh Military Police, it was found that 5 suspects were sent to court in connection with the case of luring and persuading female employees to engage in prostitution so that they could receive financial benefits from the prostitution of those female employees. 23 female employees who received services as escorts and engaged in prostitution were sent to the Phnom Penh Social Affairs Department to seek temporary rehabilitation services.
