Ministry of Justice reviews legal framework related to measures to be implemented in gang cases

Phnom Penh: On May 6, 2026, Mr. Keut Rith, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, invited to lead an inter-agency meeting to review the legal framework related to measures to be implemented in cases of gangs.
The meeting was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and institutions, including the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, and Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation.

The meeting was organized to review and discuss the legal aspects and necessary and appropriate measures that can be used to respond to the problem of juvenile delinquents, aiming, on the one hand, to enable juvenile delinquents to perform work or perform certain activities that support the interests along the border, and, on the other hand, to enable juvenile delinquents to receive education, reform, and rehabilitation to ensure their successful reintegration into society and transformation from juvenile delinquents to good citizens, in accordance with the high-level leadership recommendations of His Excellency President Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
