Phnom Penh: Mr. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, has said that digital transformation is a necessary factor for developing Cambodia’s tourism sector to be more modern, competitive and responsive to global tourism trends.
His remarks Huot Hak held a meeting with the Ministry of Tourism’s digital transformation team on May 14, 2026 to hear a summary report, monitor and review work progress, and discuss future work directions to promote the development and implementation of digital technology to be more modern, innovative, and sustainable in the tourism sector, in line with the policies and strategies of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
Speaking at the meeting, the Minister highlighted the strengthening of administrative efficiency, tourism data management, digital tourism promotion, and the use of new technologies to improve the quality of services and competitiveness of the Cambodian tourism sector.
On the occasion, Minister Huot Hak It also recommended that the working group continue to strengthen its capacity and collaborate more closely to ensure that digital transformation in the tourism sector can respond to global tourism trends and current and future tourist needs.
