Phnom Penh: In the four months from January to April, Cambodia received more than 2 million air passengers, compared to the same period, a decrease of 4 percent.
Mr. Sin Chansereyvutha, Secretary of State and Civil Aviation Spokesperson, told the Deum Ampil Information Center on May 15, 2026 that Cambodia’s air transport sector for the first four months of 2026 had 2,428,009 passengers (two-way), a decrease of approximately 4% compared to the same four months in 2025.

He said that for the movement of flights, there were more than 20,000, an increase of approximately 2%. Compared to the same four months of 2025. For air cargo, there were more than 30 thousand tons, an increase of approximately 36% compared to the same four months of 2025.

He added that Cambodia currently has 52 flights connecting with the Middle East and major aviation hubs per week. Of which, there are 46 flights per week at Techo International Airport and 6 flights per week at Siem Reap Angkor International Airport.

The spokesperson said that for direct connections to Cambodia via Middle East and Gulf aviation hubs, the following companies include: Qatar Airways, Emirates Airlines, ​Etihad Airways and Turkish Airlines. These airlines serve as Cambodia’s main connection to: Europe, North America, Africa, and tourism from the Middle East. These aviation hubs serve as flight transfer points for passenger traffic in and out of Cambodia.
