Pursat: On Saturday afternoon, May 16, 2026, Mr. Khoy Rida, Governor of Pursat Provincial Government, led a campaign to plant 300 peacock trees along National Road No. 10 (from Pramoy to O Som) in O Som commune, Veal Veng district, Pursat province.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Heng Sopheana, Deputy Governor of the province, representatives of relevant departments and units around the province, the Veal Veng district administration, the three types of armed forces, youth groups, local authorities, the People’s Defense Forces, and a large number of citizens.

The 300 peacock saplings that have been planted now are a gift from the Pursat Provincial Department of Environment to the provincial administration. This tree planting campaign aims to contribute significantly to promoting the green environment, creating green cover to protect nature, and improving the beauty of National Road 10 to attract national and international tourists who travel to the natural tourism area of Veal Veng district, especially the O Som area.
