Kampong Speu: On May 25, 2026, Mr. Chhay Riththi Sen, Minister of the Ministry of Rural Development, led the technical officers of the ministry and the provincial Rural Development Department to inspect the condition of three rural roads in Kampong Speu province.

The three rural roads include the following:
The first road is 4.60 kilometers long, from the asphalt road at the village of Kheap to the Bien Dhun Primary School in Prey Romduol East Village, Baseth Commune, Baseth District, Kampong Speu Province, with 957 families directly benefiting, equivalent to 3,998 people, and 2,871 families indirectly benefiting, equivalent to 11,994 people.
The second road is 6.35 kilometers long, from Prey Romduol North Village, Baseth Commune to the asphalt road at Prek Village, Kak Commune, Baseth District, with 1,450 families directly benefiting, equivalent to 5,996 people, and 4,350 families indirectly benefiting, equivalent to 17,988 people.
The third road is 8.70 kilometers long Starting from Khsach Poun village, Veal Pong commune, Oudong Mechey city, to Sya village, Veal Pong commune, Thpong district, with 2,210 direct beneficiaries, equivalent to 11,934 people, and 6,630 indirect beneficiaries, equivalent to 35,802 people.



It should be noted that due to the poor condition of the road and the narrow width, it is difficult to travel. And upon receiving the request of the authorities and the local people, HE the Minister invited to inspect the road to facilitate the travel and transportation of agricultural products of the people living in the area. After inspecting the road, HE the Minister directed the Department of Rural Roads and the Provincial Rural Development Department to include the above road in the annual plan of the Ministry of Rural Development for the following year.
Taking the opportunity to inspect the road condition, HE the Minister and his delegation visited Meanchey Bitamin, a road asphalt supplier located in Kraing Ponlai, Kiri Van commune, Phnom Sruoch district, Kampong Speu province. Currently, Meanchey Bitamin has two modern factories with a capacity of more than 1,500 tons of rubber and a road asphalt production line with a capacity of 30-35 tons per hour. The purpose of this visit is to learn about the quality of asphalt production by the private sector in order to strengthen the quality of rural road infrastructure in Cambodia to be more durable and usable for the people.
