Phnom Penh: The Inter-Ministerial Committee for Coordinating Travel and Transportation of Tourists and Passengers at International Border Gates and International Gates Across the Country considers the task of coordinating the travel of tourists to and from the country a priority to provide warmth and satisfaction to tourists.

On May 25, 2026, Mr. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, invited to chair a meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Committee for the Coordination of Travel and Transportation of Tourists and Passengers at International Border Gates and International Gateways nationwide (ICCT) with the aim of introducing the members of the ICCT and hearing reports on the progress of work on the coordination of travel and transportation of tourists and passengers at international border gates and international gateways.

The meeting also reviewed, discussed, and addressed challenges and suggestions aimed at finding solutions related to facilitating tourist travel at the border, as well as discussing coordination in implementing a four-month visa exemption trial for Chinese citizens in 2026.

On this occasion, the Minister thanked His Excellency Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, for allowing the update of the composition of the National Assembly. New and highlighted that the NTC was established with the aim of facilitating the entry and exit of tourists by providing greater convenience, reducing unnecessary barriers that affect entry and exit, eliminating and clearing all inefficiencies that affect and disrupt the travel and transportation of tourists and passengers, especially resolving all complaints from tourists regarding problems that occur at international border gates and international gates across the country.
