Phnom Penh: Ratanakiri Provincial Administration said that after the specialized authorities inspected (locations, materials and people), there was no presence of technological fraud crimes in the geographical area of Ratanakiri province.

According to the press release of the Ratanakiri Provincial Administration on May 25, since receiving the order from the Head of the Royal Government of Cambodia, territorial authorities and specialized authorities at all levels have conducted open administration in locations suspected of possible technological fraud crimes. As a result, in the past, it has been seen that there has been no crime in Ratanakiri province.

However, despite this, the provincial administration continues to make further efforts to ensure that crimes cannot occur at all, including crimes committed through the system.

In the last 2 days, under the strict leadership of Mr. Nhem Sam Oeun, Governor of Ratanakkiri Province and Chairman of the Unified Command of the Provincial Administration, the Provincial Administration Command has led the forces of the Unified Command of the Provincial Administration and issued strict orders to the Unified Command of the 9 Municipal-District Administrations to conduct large-scale operations to search, inspect, and conduct open administration in factories, enterprises, companies, hotels, guesthouses, and residential areas concentrated in the 9 municipalities and districts, using total force, total means, and total resources. As a result, from May 24-25, 2026, the following results were obtained:

1. A total of 314 mixed forces were used.

2. A total of 124 locations were inspected.

3. A total of 661 foreigners (14 women) were inspected, including: Chinese, Vietnamese, South Korean, Indian, and Malaysian.

4. After the expert authorities inspected (location, materials and people) under the coordination of the legal and legal representative of the prosecutor attached to the Ratanakiri Provincial Court, they found that “there is no presence of crimes of fraud using technology in the geography of Ratanakiri province.”

This cooperation, the Provincial Administration Unified Command and the 9 Municipal and District Administration Unified Command will continue to be like a gentle rain.

At the same time, the provincial administration has called on residents of Ratanakiri province to cooperate with territorial authorities and expert authorities in providing information about suspected hiding places of criminals using technology in order to arrest them and punish them according to the law in force.
