Phnom Penh: Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen told Swiss Ambassador to Cambodia Pedro ZWAHLEN about Cambodia’s position on resolving the border dispute with Thailand peacefully.
On the occasion of allowing Mr. Pedro ZWAHLEN, Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Cambodia, to pay a courtesy call and bid farewell on May 26, 2026, His Majesty informed the Ambassador about the latest developments in the Cambodian-Thai border situation and underlined Cambodia’s determination and position to resolve this border issue peacefully, based on international law and in accordance with existing conventions, treaties and agreements between Cambodia and Thailand.
In response, the Ambassador stated that the Swiss government supports the continued implementation of the ceasefire by both sides and the peaceful resolution of the border issue in accordance with international law and the rules-based international order.
