Tboung Khmum: His Excellency Prime Minister Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, said that the Royal Government has been working hard to improve the business and investment climate in Cambodia by continuously easing the burden on businesses.

At the inauguration ceremony of the Kims Rubber (Cambodia) rubber processing plant in Tboung Khmum province on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, His Excellency Prime Minister Hun Sen also congratulated investors, businessmen, and citizens, especially in Tboung Khmum province, for the new achievement: the international-level rubber processing plant will contribute to improving the living standards of citizens and the profits of local investors and businessmen by expanding the rubber market, creating jobs, and reducing dependence on middlemen.

Samdech Thip Dei The Royal Government of the 7th term of the National Assembly has launched the “Pentagon Strategy – Phase 1” with a view to achieving the “Cambodia Vision 2050”. Within the framework of this strategy, the Royal Government still considers the private sector as an important and indispensable partner in the socio-economic development of Cambodia, while the processing of agricultural products is considered a priority task to increase the added value of national agricultural products, promote competitiveness, create jobs, and improve the livelihoods of Cambodian farmers. The Prime Minister said, “In this regard, the Royal Government has been working to improve the business and investment climate in Cambodia, which has gradually eased the burden on businesses and gradually facilitated business operations.”

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Hun Manet said that the Royal Government has launched and is promoting the implementation of policies and action plans in the agricultural sector in general, and the agro-industrial sub-sector in particular, to promote the processing of agricultural products, aiming to transform from exporting only raw materials to processing domestic raw materials into semi-finished and finished products for domestic supply and export.

The Prime Minister continued that, in fact, the Royal Government has launched the National Agricultural Development Policy 2022-2030 to promote the development of the agricultural sector by improving the agricultural production chain, developing agricultural infrastructure, Providing concessional credit, facilitating agribusiness, reforming the management of agricultural land, forests, and fisheries resources, strengthening institutional governance, and developing human capital in the agricultural sector.
