Phnom Penh: For 11 days from May 20 to 31, 2026, Lieutenant General Sok Veasna, Director-General of Immigration, instructed the Department of Investigation and Enforcement to continue deporting 2,847 illegal aliens, 348 of whom were female, from 29 nationalities, from Cambodia.

According to the Facebook page of the General Department of Immigration on June 2, 2026, the expulsion of the above foreigners is a strict implementation of the legal measures of His Excellency Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, and the strong guidance of Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha, Minister of the Ministry of Interior, in efforts to clean up and eliminate cybercrime occurring in all parts of Cambodia.

Especially to ensure the safety of citizens both in the region and around the world without exception, especially for the masterminds behind it, as well as to rescue victims who have been tricked by the masterminds into working in any technological fraud activity and are free and able to return to their countries.
