Phnom Penh: Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha, Minister of Interior, on June 2, 2026, issued an appeal for donations to the Kantha Bopha Cambodia Foundation to save Cambodian children, the nation’s bamboo shoots.
According to the appeal, the Kantha Bopha Cambodia Foundation was established and launched on April 11, 2018, with Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and Samdech Kittipritbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen as founders and honorary presidents, with the aim of mobilizing charitable funds to contribute to supporting the operations of Kantha Bopha Hospital.
To celebrate International Children’s Day on June 1, 2026, the Kantha Bopha Cambodia Foundation is organizing a “10,000 Riel” campaign 10,000 People” 2026 for babies and children in Cambodia for a full month from June 1 to 30, 2026, and to support the work of the Kantha Bopha Cambodia Foundation, Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha called on leaders, civil servants, national police officers, and prison officers under the Ministry of Interior to donate funds to this campaign to save Cambodian children, who are the backbone of the nation.
In addition, the Minister of Interior strongly hopes that Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha, as the leader of all general departments and heads of all units under the Ministry of Interior, will support the “10,000 Riels 10,000 People” 2026 campaign by promoting, encouraging support, and mobilizing funds and then sending them to the General Department of Logistics and Finance, totaling them to the Ministry of Interior. Your donation is a generous gesture that will contribute to the treatment and survival of millions of children and infants in Cambodia.
